Healthy Snacking: Naturebox

June 10, 2015 Posted by Hannah Boyl Food

Hello all! Hope your week is going well so far. In my FitFriday #2: Snacktime Made Healthy post, I mentioned getting my trial of Naturebox and letting you all know how it was when I got my first full size box. So, here it is!

First, let my explain what Naturebox is. This is a service that delivers snacks right to your door, and they’re healthy snacks! You can choose how many snacks and how often you want them sent but the norm is 5 snacks sent once a month. You can choose to have more or less snacks delivered more or less frequently. There are tons of options for whatever your diet requires like vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, soy-free, nut-free and non-GMO options. All the snacks they sell are also nutritionist approved and don’t contain high fructose corn syrup, trans fat or a bunch of artificial stuff. And as healthy as this all is, it’s also absolutely delicious. You can find all the information I just mentioned and more here.

So let me share my first full Naturebox with you.

Because I had never tasted any of these snacks before I kind of just picked stuff that sounded good and this is what I ended up with.

1. Jalepeno Cashews

jc

I’m a big fan of spicy foods, and cashews for that matter. Plus this just sounds like an interesting combination. These cashews definitely have a bit of a kick to them but they are so so delicious!

2. Chocolate Chia Granola

ccg

This stuff is pretty much awesome. I ate it as a cereal with almond milk one morning and it was pretty much like I was eating a chocolate cereal, like Cocoa Krispies or Cocoa Puffs, but healthy…and with all the goodness of chia seeds. Can’t beat that.

3. Flax Fortune Coins

ffc

One of my favorite foods on this earth is fortune cookies and not just for the fortune inside. I used to buy these things by the box just because I loved the taste. So, when I saw these and the fact that they’re made with flax seed I couldn’t resist and had to put them in my Naturebox pantry (thats where you save snacks that you want to be sent to you). They were well worth it too. They smell a little different, but that has no effect on the taste and I’ll definitely be ordering them again.

4. Pistachio Power Clusters

ppc

The Pistachio Power Clusters are an awesome energizing snack. I took these with me to class one day, a day that just so happened to involve Olympic lifts and plyometric training. I ate some before to make it through the morning and then after to refuel. Too good to stop eating, and because of that, they’re already gone!

5. Toffee Almond Granola

This is a snack that I also used as a breakfast cereal or just to munch on throughout the day. The sweet flavors with the almonds is fantastic and it did wonders in calming my sweet tooth.

My next box should be coming in about three weeks and here’s what I’m looking forward to:

  1. Blueberry Almonds
  2. Big Island Pineapple
  3. Peanut Butter Nom Noms
  4. Sriracha Pop Pops
  5. Chocolate Banana Chips

If this is something you’re interested in I highly recommend to try the free trial or use the code share10off to receive $10 off your first box. You can do all of this on the Naturebox website or they have an app for your phone! Just search for Naturebox in your app store.

That’s all I have for you today, I’m headed to school. Hope you all have a great Wednesday!

Goals, Part 2: Make Your Goals SMART

Sep 12, 2019

Here we are at week 2 of my goal setting series.

Last week I asked you to think about goals that you’ve set in the past, if they’ve worked or not, and discovering your “why'“ behind whatever it is that you’re looking to do.

In this week’s post I’m going to give you the bulk of information you need in order to set goals that you’ll be able to realistically attain. Your goals are the first step towards making desirable changes, so do it right!
