What do you think is most important when it comes to what you’re eating and trying to become healthier or lose weight? Is it the amount (quantity) of food you’re eating? Or is it the type (quality) of food you consume?
Nutrition Challenge Results
If you follow me on social media, you know that I recently finished up a nutrition challenge at The Pursuit in Frankenmuth.
Some of the participants gave me permission to share their individual results and some shared words related to their experience. I have been posting these on my social media weekly, but here is a compilation of all of those results!
Goals, Part 4: MANIFEST!
So far in this series, I’ve explained why goals are important, gave you the steps to create goals, and differentiated between the big goals and the smaller steps you take to get there. Now I want to share a strategy to increase motivation and confidence in yourself in order to achieve those goals, from the small daily tasks to the larger long-term goals.
Last week, I went through SMART goal setting step by step. This week I’ll explain more about putting those SMART goals into practice by differentiating between short term goals, long term goals, and even weekly or progress goals.
Here we are at week 2 of my goal setting series.
Last week I asked you to think about goals that you’ve set in the past, if they’ve worked or not, and discovering your “why’“ behind whatever it is that you’re looking to do.
In this week’s post I’m going to give you the bulk of information you need in order to set goals that you’ll be able to realistically attain. Your goals are the first step towards making desirable changes, so do it right!
This month I’ll be talking about goal setting, why it’s important, the best strategies to set goals, and other ways to ensure you reach your goals. So to start out, why do we even need them?!
Cleanses and Detox Diets
When would I recommend cleanses and detox diets?
Are You a Coffee Drinker?
For those of you that know me, you know that I could never tell you to not drink coffee, because, well, I drink too much of it myself and that’s just not fair. I can, however, let you in on a few tips to help make your coffee consumption a healthier habit. Find out more in today’s post.
Your Calorie Needs Can Change!
So last time I talked about calorie intake I said you need to make sure you’re eating enough, now I’m telling you that you may need to eat less?! I swear I’m not trying to confuse you, just hear me out on this one and why I’m bringing it up. I’ll explain a bit about why your calorie needs decrease and how that plays into yo-yo dieting and weight loss struggles.
Is Your Path Finite?
I listened to a podcast this week that really got my attention and it was just too good not to share. Ben Bergeron is a well-known coach in the CrossFit community and works with some of the greatest athletes in the world. However, this podcast is applicable to every single person, whether you’re into fitness and CrossFit or not.
The name of this podcast is Chasing Excellence and the title of the episode I’m sharing is “Embrace the Chase.” While I won’t give away all of the good stuff because I want you to listen, I’ll give you some of the general ideas.
